Alcázar Garden

This garden was designed in 1935 by San Diego Architect Richard Requa. He modeled the design on the gardens at Alcázar Castle in Sevilla, Spain; the homeland of an empire that previously ruled the area.

Rows of 'hedges' surround fields of eschscholzia, or California Poppy, while walkways surround the planting areas. Within one of the poppy fields, you see your light-weight transport pod, a model 3 "vimb", radiating the heat it gained while entering the planet's atmosphere.

Down amongst the poppies, you spot a gopher hole.

To the north, past a shady arcade, lies a strange garden of sculptures. None of the sculptures look like the aliens that built them.

To the west, you spot the iconic California Tower and blue tile dome of the Museum of Man.

To your east, lie the ruins of the House of Charm.
